A platform bed is designed to support the mattress with no box spring required. This has several advantages in today’s modern world, ranging from style to functionality and safety. Platform beds can be shorter than a traditional bed. Many people prefer their bed to be lower to the ground either out of personal preference or to better fit the style of the room.
