Showroom and Sales Manager (New York)
New York Design Center, 200 Lexington Avenue, New York
Salary: Dependant on experience + commission
We are looking for a highly motivated and dynamic self-starter to manage our newly opened flagship US showroom in the New York Design Center, and to drive sales.
This is an exciting opportunity for a creative thinker with entrepreneurial flair and lots of initiative, who wants to play a key role in growing our business in the US.
Sales outreach is key – you will be working closely with the London team and our other US representatives to maximise sales and drive traffic to the showroom. You will also be responsible for ensuring the showroom is looking immaculate at all times.
Principle responsibilities will include:
Business development – generating new leads, reaching out to existing leads and building relationships with potential and existing clients.
Driving traffic to the showroom.
Organising and hosting breakfasts and drinks in the showroom for designers and their clients.
Achieving and exceeding agreed sales targets.
Providing exceptional service to appointments and walk in traffic to the showroom
Using our CRM system on a daily basis to log new leads, inquiries, quotes and outreach.
Responding same day to customer requests for quotes and information.
Working collaboratively and creatively with the UK Sales team and US reps to reach monthly targets
Providing weekly sales and update reports to the CEO
We are ideally looking for somebody who is both friendly and professional with:
An ability to think on their feet and think creatively
Excellent communication and negotiation skills
Knowledge of, and relationships with the design community (not essential)
Impeccable attention to detail
Problem-solving abilities, and a willingness to collaborate with the wider team and suppliers
An eye for colour and design
Lots of energy, a positive attitude, and an enthusiasm for selling!
Tom Faulkner is an award-winning creative UK company – founded by Tom in 1996 – designing and making distinctive contemporary furniture. We sell to top interior designers and architects worldwide. We have a showroom in Belgravia, London and everything is made in our own UK workshops.
Salary dependent on experience + commission
Hours: Monday-Friday 9 – 5pm
Start date: Immediate
