Arizona Needle – Church of Sta Caterina, Como
This sculpture takes its name from the deserts of Arizona which inspired its design. It echoes the volcanic rock formations which rise up from the earth in improbable arrangements, somehow finding balance along the way. The Arizona needle explores themes of permanence and fragility, while celebrating the perfect imperfections that nature creates. The original iteration was crafted in Corten weathering steel, conjuring the colours of its namesake desert. We also make it in bronze as well as other finishes, like the ultramarine blue shown here. Please do get in touch to discuss all of the possibilities. We’ll be happy to customise the piece to your taste.
