Our offering of finishes has grown this week, with four added options that bring a bold new character to classic TF designs. The latest additions take their cues from the Modern Dutch painter, Piet Mondrian. We found inspiration in his artful adaptations of primary colours, where bursts of energy are strategically placed amidst grids of intersecting lines. Tom takes a Modern approach to his furniture design practice, finding beauty in simplicity and clarity of form. Colour brings a new dimension to his creations, posing the opportunity for characterful customisation. Join us for a brief introduction to the newest options on offer…
Our new Tuscan Red finish captures the beating warmth of a summer’s day in the Italian countryside. It evokes images of a blazing sun baking the earth below, bringing up terracotta tones with just a hint of shine. This energetic standard finish is designed to ignite our steel furniture with a soft hum of energy. It works wonderfully against more subdued materials like clear glass, neutral upholstery, or lightly toned marbles. We’ve shown it here on our Wave dining table and Vienna carver chair, though it also looks particularly lovely on our Memphis round coffee table.
Our Nile Blue finish is charged with a Modern spirit, with a primary base tone enriched by a grounding sense of depth. We photographed this, alongside our other fresh finishes, in Como’s Church of Santa Caterina. The environment lent itself beautifully to this moody hue, which comes alive on our AVA round dining table. We find a clear glass top creates a crystalline effect that keeps the look beautifully crisp.
The new Liora Yellow brings instant vibrancy to our modern metal furniture. We’ve tempered the finish with a hint of umber to retain an element of understatement, stopping shy of dampening the energy of this hue. Our Arizona totem, shown here, takes on a sunny disposition as it stretches upward to meet the sky. We’ve accented its form with polished edges, which add the perfect element of contrast to emphasise the lemon yellow of this fresh finish.
Our Sea Green is anchored by a pelagic blue, blended with green overtones to concoct a unique, contemporary colour. Like all our standard finishes, we apply it through a powder coating process which cloaks the surface for an even, opaque effect. We find this option is especially well suited to geometric pieces like the new Phoenix console, shown here. The design’s angular lines bring out the colour’s vibrancy, which in turn, helps to articulate the edges of the form. We’d recommend pairing this finish with a Chalk White or Polished Stainless Steel top for a clean and energetic look.
We’d recommend browsing the full range of standard, specialist, and material options to make full use of our bespoke approach. If you’ve got a specific vision in mind, please don’t hesitate to get in touch. We’re always happy to customise our work to suit your project, guiding you towards the perfect scale, materials, and finishes for the job.
