We finish most of our metalwork in one of four ways:
1. Powder coating, which is a very durable, very clean, and very even finish.
2. Specialist / antique finishes, which are all applied by hand using metal powders, varnishes, and pigment.
3. Patination. Here chemicals are applied to the steel or bronze to oxidize the surface of the metal. The metal is then oiled and waxed. This can give a very “natural” finish which is deliberately not uniform, but has charm and character.
4. Hand-polishing. This applies to stainless steel and bronze only. The surfaces are hand polished to a mirror finish.
